Doppelbock Meets Whisky and Rhum Agricole
The Gutenberg Bock Barrel Aged Edition 2024 from Kühn Kunz Rosen is the fifth wood-aged variant of the Gutenberg Bock – and a true heavyweight for special moments of indulgence.
The sweet, malty Doppelbock matures for six months in St. Kilian whisky barrels, which were previously used for Rhum Agricole. This double barrel history leaves its mark: caramelized fruits meet strong whisky and rum notes, as well as subtle hints of oak wood.
The malty sweetness of the Doppelbock forms the foundation, connecting the various barrel notes into a strong, warming, and complex beer.
Additionally, it boasts true collector's character: The 2024 edition is strictly limited and bottled in hand-numbered bottles.
