Irish Coffee meets Imperial Stout

Enn Barrel from Põhjala's Cellar Series is a mighty Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, inspired by a classic Irish Coffee. For this, the strong stout is brewed with coffee and then aged in Irish whiskey barrels.

In the glass, Enn Barrel appears deep black, dense, and full-bodied. Aromatically, coffee clearly takes center stage: espresso and roasted malt meet vanilla, chocolate, wood, and whiskey. With increasing temperature, further spicy nuances and notes of roasted hazelnut emerge.

The body is opulent and silky, the 12% ABV provides a good warmth without overshadowing the coffee and barrel notes. An intense dessert and indulgence beer that should be sipped slowly and allowed to warm up a bit.
