The Original Berliner Weisse with Historical Yeast

Marlene is one of the flagship beers of Schneeeule Brewery - brewed with yeast cultures from bottles up to 50 years old, which master brewer Ulrike Genz revived for her historical reconstruction of Berliner Weisse. Bottle fermentation provides fine perlage and a voluminous head of foam.

The Brettanomyces yeast is clearly noticeable in the aroma, accompanied by lactic acid character and subtly fruity notes of apple, pear, and pineapple. Marlene deliberately comes without syrup.

How it tastes
